We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join our team as an Apprentice Agronomist & Technical Support Specialist. This is a unique "earn while you learn" opportunity to build a rewarding career in modern agriculture, combining hands-on field experience with structured technical training.
Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
The Apprenticeship Role
You will work alongside our experienced agronomists and technical sales team to provide frontline support to our customers and distribution partners. This role is the perfect blend of science, technology, and practical farming. You will learn how to diagnose crop health issues, recommend our innovative products, and become a trusted advisor in the field.
Key Learning Objectives & Responsibilities
During your apprenticeship, you will develop core competencies in:
1. Technical Agronomic Support (60%):
- Learn to identify weeds, diseases, insect pests, and nutrient deficiencies in key crops.
- Assist in conducting field trials and demonstrations to validate the efficacy of Crop IQ's products.
- Develop a deep understanding of our product portfolio, including:
- Crop Protection Products: Pheromones and Biopesticides
- Biostimulants & Biofertilizers: Seaweed extracts, humic/fulvic acids, amino acids, and microbial inoculants.
- Support the creation of technical bulletins, use guides, and crop advisory notes.
- Learn to use digital agronomy tools (e.g., soil moisture probes, satellite imagery, crop scouting apps) to support recommendations.
2. Customer & Distributor Support (30%):
- Provide timely and accurate technical answers to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Shadow senior staff on farm visits and distributor meetings to learn consultation skills.
- Assist in training distributors and retailers on the features, benefits, and correct application of our products.
- Help manage sample requests and technical documentation.
3. Sales & Logistics Support (10%):
- Gain an understanding of the export process and documentation requirements.
- Learn to use our CRM system to log customer interactions and technical queries.
- Support the sales team with technical data and trial results to help secure new business.

Who We Are Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Qualities:
- A genuine passion for agriculture and sustainability.
- A minimum of a high school diploma; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Horticulture, Plant Biology, or a related field is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you enjoy helping people and solving problems.
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical, scientific approach.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to be field-based and travel within the region. A valid driver's license is required.
- Physically able to work in outdoor agricultural environments.
Desirable Skills:
- Basic understanding of plant physiology and soil science.
- Familiarity with common agricultural practices in the region.
- Comfort with technology and learning new software.
